Those who think that the history of monolithic construction began and developed in the 20th century, they are deeply mistaken. In fact, monolithic buildings began to be built by ancient Romans. It was they who invented concrete and built from the monolith both walls and ceilings, arches of their buildings. The famous Pantheon temple dedicated to all Roman gods and built precisely using this technology has been well preserved. In Russia, the development of monolithic construction dates back to the beginning of the 19th century — this is the construction of the Empress’s palace in the current Pushkin, the weaving factory in St. Petersburg, warehouses and other buildings.
