The distance between the folds is measured: the cut glass should be less by 2-4mm.

The desired size is noted on the glass, and it is cut by glass cutter from the far end by the ruler. During operation, the glass cutter should be in an upright position, and the index finger of the hand should be on top. If the cut is not obtained, then the glass is turned over and another section is made from the back side.
