Mechanical gearbox
The design of the mechanical gearbox includes a large number of gears that adhere to each other in different combinations and form a certain number of steps or transmissions with different number of gear rates. Depending on the increase in the number of gears, the car is much better adapting to the conditions of movement. In a mechanical box, the gear shift occurs using a lever, while the torque initially enters the secondary shaft, and after — to the wheel drive. The principle of operation of the mechanical gearbox is quite simple, and its complete set includes a small number of parts, namely: gears and shafts — primary, intermediate and secondary; Carter; shaft, which has gears that reversing the car; synchronizer; A device designed to switch gears, which has locking mechanisms and switching lever. The crankcases are mounted bearings, inside of which the rotation of the shafts occurs. Such shafts are equipped with a set of gears with a different number of teeth. With the help of synchronizers, smooth gear shift occurs, which, in the process of gears, levels the speed. The entire principle of operation of such a mechanism is reduced to gear shifting, which is controlled by the driver with the help of a lever. Using a locking device, the transmission is protected from arbitrary self -power. In order to avoid simultaneously turning on two transfers at once, the so -called locking device works. The advantages and disadvantages of the mechanical gearbox of the transmission of the gearing and obvious advantages of the mechanical gearbox can be attributed, compared with all other types of transmission, low weight and price, high efficiency, efficiency in “eating” fuel and good acceleration dynamics. The design of the box is quite simple and worked out, which is the key to high reliability. This type of transmission does not require expensive materials for its service. Thanks to the mechanical gearbox, the engine and wheels are strictly connected, which allows the driver to easily control the car with dirt, ice and off -road. A car with a manual transmission can tow, regardless of speed, and if there is a need, then it can be made from a “pusher”, which is impossible with automatic transmission. A small list of minuses includes the driver’s fatigue from the constant need for gear, which is especially pronounced with vagaries of the weather, and a small adhesion resource.
