Parquet is an unusual form of applied art. Not so long ago the best examples of this art could only be observed in museums. The point is that art parquet is formed manually from different wood or parquet of one breed, but with different textures. Separate floors were true wooden paintings. It is no accident that in the old days the parquet was the subject of the special pride of the owners of their mansions! For many years, a huge number of wood breeds used in the floor «painting» reached the installation of the palace parquet. To fulfill art parquet, they used their varieties of breeds (walnut, maple, oak, beech, grab, ash, larch, pears, apple trees, etc.), and other exotic woods of wood (aben, rosewood, amaranth, olive, and still sandalwood, white and red cypress, iron, thuja, boxwood). The variety of wood varieties gave potential, playing with color and texture, to mount unusually beautiful and elegant patterns of parquet boards.
