Why the screed is poured?

In order to give great rigidity to the base and level the floor to carry out further work in construction, a screed is often used. Its advantage is that with a thin layer, it is able to withstand significant loads, preventing it from damaging, the lower layers of the floor elements located under it: hydro- sound — and thermal insulation. The screed is also used as an independent coating in rooms with high humidity and especially on the street.
